A catch-all email mailbox receives emails sent to invalid addresses under the very same domain name. For example, a message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. Thus, you can receive messages from mates or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Just one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at some point you may begin receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be re-sent to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

Setting up a catch-all email mailbox will be surprisingly easy in case you’ve got a cloud plan with our company. You can activate the feature through our advanced, yet easy-to-use Email Manager tool, which is integrated into the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you will manage the hosting account itself. You’ll see all the mailboxes that you have set up enumerated in alphabetical order and next to each one of them there will be a small-size "Catch-all" icon, which will instantaneously inform you whether a specific mailbox stores all the email messages associated with a given domain or not. With one single click on the icon you can activate or deactivate this option at any moment. In case there is activated email forwarding or in case another mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a particular domain name, you will receive a warning from our system. The latter won’t deactivate/replace anything automatically and without your permission.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

You’ll be able to configure a catch-all email address with no more than a click if you have a semi-dedicated plan with us and your email messages are handled by our cloud web hosting platform. All the email addresses that you set up with any domain name hosted in your account will be shown in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel. Each of them will have a small-size "Catch-all" icon next to it, so all it will take to activate the feature will be to click on that icon. In the same way you’ll be able to turn off the feature, in case you don’t need it anymore. Our system will warn you if you’re trying to enable a 2nd catch-all mailbox for a given domain name or if there is activated email forwarding, but it’ll never change or disable any feature automatically and without your approval.
