Accessing your website content via FTP will be quick and easy. You’ll be able to upload and download files/folders with just a few clicks of the mouse. Besides administering the whole content, you can also provide other people with access to a specific section of your web hosting account without giving them access to your hosting Control Panel where they can view private e-mails or other sensitive details they shouldn’t. You can do this by creating a separate FTP account that they can use to connect only to one single directory in the hosting account. Such a feature is especially useful in case you use several web developers or if you rely on an app like Dreamweaver or FrontPage to manage multiple websites at once, as you can have a separate FTP account for each person or each website. In such a case, it is important to be able to manage your FTP accounts effortlessly.

FTP Manager in Cloud Hosting

The Hepsia hosting Control Panel, which comes with all our cloud plans, offers a functionality-packed FTP Manager tool that will give you total control over all FTP accounts within your hosting account. Creating or deleting an account requires literally just a single mouse click and all the accounts that you’ve got at any given moment will be displayed alphabetically, so you can effortlessly locate the one that you want. You’ll also be able to see what directory a specific account can access and by clicking it, you can change it. In case you want to connect to your web space using an FTP software program such as FileZilla or Core FTP, you can download an auto-configuration file for any of the FTP accounts and install it on your PC – the account in question will be set up without you having to do anything manually yourself. Additionally, you can see the full list of all the domains or subdomains which you can use.

FTP Manager in Semi-dedicated Servers

Our semi-dedicated server accounts are administered from the time and effort saving, in-house built Hepsia Control Panel. One of its sections, the FTP Manager, is dedicated to administering your FTP accounts and all the things associated with them, so you can manage all the accounts quickly and easily. It’ll take one single mouse click to create a new FTP account, to remove an active one or simply to edit its password. You can also see the full list of all your accounts in this section of the Control Panel and, for your convenience, you can sort them in alphabetical order – descending or ascending, either by username or by their access path. Modifying the path for a given account is also pretty easy – you’ll only need to click on it and choose the new directory in the pop-up that will appear, so you will not have to create a whole new FTP account in case you simply want to specify what files an existing account can access. You can also make use of auto-configuration files for widely used FTP software programs like Core FTP and FileZilla.
